STYLE GURU STYLE: Denim Overload, Baby

A white crop top, jeans and a nice denim jacket may be my favorite outfit to wear. It’s just such a classy, trendy look, that still allows me to throw in that little bit of edge. Not to mention how amazing it looks to contrast the different shades of denim together. Since I’m so used to throwing on a cute dress, I absolutely love going for a classic denim look.

This denim look was inspired from the Marc by Marc Jacobs fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection. While I loved the statement details in the outfits, from the chocker to the studded boots, I chose to make my look a little more casual and simplistic. While also adding in my own touch of accessories, I stuck to the multiple shades of denim, going from a light to a little darker.

I’m a firm believer that fashion is a repeating cycle and I knew denim on denim would be back ever since it was popular back in the ’70s. With so many options and variations of shades, you can reinvent this look over and over again and still create such different looks each time. Therefore, you really can’t go wrong with an outfit like this!

I’m wearing a light blue Brandy Melville distressed jean jacket as well an American Eagle tank top in white. I’m also sporting a dark blue distressed pair of jeans from American Eagle. For my accessories, I’m wearing a pair of Quay Australia sunglasses in Kosha clear, a Louis Vuitton handbag and a boutique elephant necklace. In addition, I’m wearing a Michael Kor’s tri-tone watch, two Tiffany & Co. bracelets as well as rings and two David Yurman bracelets.

The end result? A super classic denim look made more modern and comfy. This look will make you feel like a cutting edge Fashionista and make you question why you don’t own more denim in your closet.
