STYLE GURU STYLE: Comfortably Chic

Greetings Fashionista/os! Finals are done and summer is officially upon us. This means three months of a well-deserved break from classes to sit back, relax, and sing songs by the campfire. But more than that, summer provides the perfect opportunity to travel both near and far. Whether traveling by plane or by car, comfortable and fashionable can be difficult to balance. Luckily enough, we have Chloé’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection. By pairing flowing, oversized pieces with crisp, structured lines, Chloé proves a perfect blend of comfortably chic is more than possible.

Keeping this balance in mind while preparing for my own travels, I decided to pair a soft oversized cotton T-shirt with a classic blazer. A simple T-shirt is not only effortless and easy, but also stays wrinkle free unlike other less-forgiving fabrics. As for my blazer, this adds not only an extra layer of warmth, but also simultaneously adds an air of sophistication to counter the casualness of my T-shirt.

As said before, comfortable and fashionable can be difficult to balance while traveling. For this reason, I always like to wear my favorite pair of skinny jeans and easy slip-on flats. In an oxford style, they are both comfy and cozy yet still match with almost anything.

Finally, as any seasoned traveler knows, after sleeping squished against a window your hair may not be as runway-perfect as it was when you left. For this reason, I have always been a fan of wearing hats. The ultimate accessory for the comfortably chic outfit, they not only hide bed-head but also help you to stand out in the crowd. And with such a wonderful start to your travels, you’re sure to make your mark wherever your journey takes you.

Safe (and stylish) travels to you all and wishing you all the best on your summer adventures!
