STYLE GURU STYLE: Colors And Comfort

August 26th, 2015 at 2:00am

Today, it was dreary and rainy. Unfortunately the weather was forecasted for the duration of the week. So my goal was to make the best of the situation by aiming for color to brighten things up but also for comfort.

I conjured up my outfit by taking inspiration from the Armani Privé fall 2015 collection. What I loved most about this runway show was the colors. The colors were bold and bright. The runway showcased vibrant pinks, shiny sequins and deep blues and purples. The Armani runway show was rich with a diverse color scheme.

So, this was what I wanted. I wanted a bright color in my outfit to make up for the lack of sun. I went for bright shoes and a bright lip. To tie in with my shoes, I added a hand embroidery bag. I love this bag purely for decoration. The base color of the bag correlated with my flats but also had other bright colors such as light blue, yellow, pink and green.

The comfort aspect of this look was a personal touch of my own. When it’s raining and muggy outside, I tend to lean toward loose clothing. I paired my big striped shirt over a pair of leggings that I cuffed at the bottom. I did not add many accessories because I wanted the bag and shoes to speak for themselves.

Get My Look: 1. An oversized T-shirt with a basic pattern so you do not detract from the shoes. 2. Leggings. 3. Bright accessories such as shoes and a handbag.
