STYLE GURU STYLE: Color Me Olive

Say goodbye to those endless weeks of jeans and thick clothing because spring is finally here! With warmer weather, one can finally get away with wearing shorts or linen pants with out fearing that you might freeze to death. When one thinks of spring one can only think of pastels and floral printed clothing. Even though this may be true, I find it hard to let go of some essential fall colors, like the oh so fabulous olive tones. Finding inspiration from this look from Chanel’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection, I managed to incorporate this olive tone into my spring-wear outfit.

Comfort is everything when it comes to dressing in warmer weather. For my look, I decided to go with a pair of olive colored linen pants that are both stylish and comfortable to wear during the spring season. Because my pants were darker than the usual spring color palette, I decided to brighten up my outfit with a denim button-down shirt. Chambray shirts, or denim in general, is something that can easily be paired with any article of clothing and give you that effortless look that makes it seem like you just woke up like this.

For accessories, I kept it very minimal just like the Chanel look that inspired my outfit. As for shoes, I have on a pair of black jelly shoes that I have been totally digging because of the small heel that was incorporated onto the shoe. They add the perfect amount of height without making me feel like I’m towering over everyone.

Get My Look: 1. A breathable pair of pants. 2. A denim shirt. 3. A pair of jelly shoes.
