STYLE GURU STYLE: Classy In A Peacoat

The Joie fall 2014 collection has an amazing array of looks and was definitely a hit this past season. The collection reminded me of something Blair Waldorf (whom I and many others adore) would wear. The looks were classy and tasteful and stayed simple.

All of the outfits had a classic appeal and consisted of basic pieces. I appreciated the collection especially because there were many looks that I could see myself sporting to class while keeping cozy, which is essential in the cold weather.

I decided to try to create a look with pieces similar to the collection. For my recreation of the look I wore a pair of dark wash denim jeans and a navy blue blouse. The blouse has ruffle detailing, which adds texture to the look. The focus of the look was the baby pink pea coat.

The coat is warm enough for the chilly winter days but also is a stylish addition to complete the outfit. For shoes I wore a pair of nude flats. I accessorized by adding a blue and silver statement necklace and a pair of pearl earrings.

For my bag I opted for a black Louis Vuitton bag. I completed the look by keeping it classic and wearing my hair in a side bun and wearing a bold red lipstick. I love how the look seems effortless but also has a “classic” touch. This is a look that can be worn to class or a day out with friends.

Get My Look: 1. A classic peacoat. 2. A pair of denim jeggings. 3. A par of nude flats.
