STYLE GURU STYLE: Clashing Seasons

Winter in Los Angeles is a weird time. It’s chilly, but you don’t need to bundle up. It’s warm, but not quite warm enough for summer clothes. This outfit is one that is perfect for one of our “winter” days. During the winter, I find myself combining elements of winter and elements of spring and summer. My dark wash high-waisted jeans and Chelsea boots paired with a vintage white linen tank top (that I borrowed from my sister) combines elements from different seasons to create an outfit that is unique for a California winter.

For my accessories, I tend to find pieces I like and wear them everyday. David Yurman bracelets are my favorite and perfect for stacking. They add a nice touch to any outfit. My two rings were made by one of my best friends, Emily, at school. She has a natural talent for jewelry and creates many amazing pieces!

I’m such a purse collector, but this Fjallraven Kanken Mini backpack is an adorable must-have that can be even more convenient than a purse. I tend to use it when I feel like it can add something a little extra to my outfit.

My Chelsea boots are made of recycled tire and are my new favorite shoes! I wear Chelsea boots year-round and these are my favorites that I just bought when I was out with my sister. She introduced my to a brand, Eckhaus Latta, that has unique high-end pieces that will never go out of style.

This was a look I threw together last minute, but captures a simple look perfect for winter in L.A.
