STYLE GURU STYLE: Bright and Bold

Coach’s spring ready-to-wear 2015 collection was my source of inspiration for this look. The pretty pastels, neon hues and bold prints dominated the set. In addition to the springy colors, I was also drawn to the slick fabrics and furry textures. Chunky flat form heels repeated in each look of the Coach’s spring compilation. Because the looks were indeed designed by Coach, epic handbags and accessories were in full force.

Trying to recreate this look for a realistic college day, I added a popping floral top. Peaking out of my leather jacket, the bold pattern on the shirt is quieted for a subtler look. I paired the top half of my look with my lightest color of boyfriend jeans to fit the color scheme.     For my shoes, I went with my faux calf hair flat form heels. These shoes are a bit austere in any look, but with the right ensemble I’m confident they are worthy of any Fashionista’s closet. To hold all my daily necessities, I grabbed this vintage Coach cross-body purse. The bags in the Coach collection consist of pretty bright colored leathers, but I decided to bring it down a notch and tie the bag color to the color of my jacket.

This spring ready-to-wear collection by the one and only Coach inspired me to step out of the box with a look I typically wouldn’t try to tackle. Although a lot is happening in each look Coach put together, I tried to tone it down for something more my style. My wardrobe consists of a lot of black, white, gray and navy, so I am certainly going to try to incorporate more colors and prints into my look this spring.

Get My Look: 1. A gorgeous bag. 2. Must-have flatform heels. 3. A colorful top.
