STYLE GURU STYLE: Boho Babe

Denim jackets, white light tops, brimmed hats and high-waisted bottoms all seem to be flooding my closet this summer. Alone, these pieces all are perfect to accessorize with, but when combined I can definitely pull off the bohemian trend.

My outfit for this look looks like it came straight from the Madewell spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection in that it combines bohemian accents to simple attire, mostly sticking to a primary color palette. The collection uses a lot of white, blue and red, while having most of the pieces featuring a denim article of clothing. I took Madewell’s bohemian accents to the next step by contributing more accessories to my own personal look.

Boho trends are always perfect for the summer, they are easy to reinvent if you are a creative thinker and a risk taker. In my outfit I paired several different Urban Outfitters pieces. Starting with a pair of boyfriend shorts was the perfect idea when looking to achieve my goal of giving a casual-boho vibe. In addition to the shorts I added an off-the-shoulder printed top which could easily fall into the Madewell collection. I paired a wide brimmed sun hat with a pair of circular sunnies making this look perfect for a sunny day.

White off-the-shoulder tops and denim shorts will be a trend that I will be sporting until the end of time. I added accessories and got creative with them—the choker that I am wearing is actually a Free People headband and one of my bracelets is actually supposed to be worn as an anklet. Dressing the look up I threw on a pair of tan wedges and I grabbed the nicest bulk bag I could find on my clothes rack.

Get My Look: 1. Any circular sunglasses.  2. A boho top.  3. A sun hat.
