STYLE GURU STYLE: Bohemian Vibes

I love flipping through old InStyle magazines to get fashion inspiration. It is so interesting to see what was trending back then—and by back then, I mean only five years ago. It is crazy to me how much style changes over such a short period of time. And now bohemian/hipster trends are taking over! I love that these trends have become increasingly popular over the years because they are so relaxed and chic. The Zadig & Volatire spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection especially caught my eye because it translates these trends perfectly. This collection incorporates details such as embroidery, cowboy boots, hats, floral, fringe, chokers and crew socks. It is both bohemian and hipster with an added western flare. Each and every look is so relaxed and yet so put together, in an effortless kind of way. This describes my style perfectly!

Although I may not wear cowboy boots nor do I own any fringe, it was easy for me to recreate this look. My approach was to create something that is relaxed and comfortable but that looks put together for the summer. The Zadig & Voltaire spring show incorporates floral dresses, boots, a cozy sweater, and most of the tones are neutral. I decided to create a more summer-appropriate look using my favorite details from this collection.

I picked out a sunflower dress that is perfect for the summer season and an oversized taupe cardigan to give my outfit a more relaxed feel. I also wore some ivory-colored TOMS shoes with crochet detailing that resembles the western embroidery in this collection. And instead of wearing a choker, I paired this look with layered necklaces, bracelets and rings to put my spin on it.

Who says you can’t be comfortable and look amazing at the same time? Sometimes those are the best looks, the ones that look so effortless. This look is both relaxed and chic, a perfect representation of Zadig and Voltaire, as well of my style,

Get My Look: 1. A comfy cardigan sweater. 2. Shoes with crochet detailing. 3. A floral dress of any kind. 4. A tassel necklace.
