STYLE GURU STYLE: Bohemian-inspired

My look this week was inspired by the Atelier Versace fall 2015 collection. The collection featured a bohemian theme, again a style I have written about numerous times. It’s a very feminine and almost fairytale like look which is very appealing to me. To get my bohemian fix, I shop for pieces with the same style. Free People is a good brand for this style.

I am a sucker for Free People. Its expensive, but when compared to Versace, it’s a bargain. Free People is easily one of my favorite brands; I love the style and if I could, I would wear it all day, everyday. When I saw this top I knew it would be perfect for the end of summer and for the beginning of fall and winter by adding layers to keep it warmer. It is actually an intimates piece but can easily pass for a regular lace tank top. I thought it would be perfect to wear a bralette under since the lace cutouts are perfect to show it off! For my pants I am wearing a pair of dark wash high-waisted shorts which have a zipper detail up the back of them. On my feet are a pair of Steve Madden gladiator sandals. I love the color and the height of the sandals. My bag is a simple black cross-body bag from BCBG. I opted for no accessories other than my gold hoop earrings and studs. This look is perfect for girl’s night out or dinner.

As a tip of the week, I would suggest shopping at places like Nordstrom Rack or Marshalls. Their deals are too good to pass up! This is where I buy a lot of my Free People items, and it saves me so much money. For a Fashionista on a budget that still wants their favorite name brands, try shopping at a store like these ones. Be warned though, the deals are so good it’s like falling down the rabbit hole; you can’t stop shopping once you’re there.
