STYLE GURU STYLE: Black Is My Happy Color

See By Chloé is at it again, killing their latest collection for their fall 2015 ready-to-wear. Consisting of dark and bold colors, the collection ranges from blacks to burnt oranges and even light pinks. The show on February 11th awed viewers with beautiful knits in an array of colors with different patterns and embroidery. Did you think they were gone? Ponchos are also back for another season so get ready to pull them out this fall! I was inspired by look twenty which consisted of a fitted pair of black high-waisted pants, black sweatshirt material top and a layered peach colored button down underneath.

With my all black wardrobe, it made sense I was drawn to this specific look. Channeling the recent Chloé collection, I wore black DKNY leggings, which are extra thick and perfect for winter, and a black Calypso turtleneck on this eight degree day. My accessories included a Louis Vuitton black and white scarf, black earmuffs and gray fingerless gloves. Sticking to a similar color scheme to that of the Chloé collection, my scarf and gloves consisted of gray and white. Matching all the black, I paired my go-to Valentino tote with my outfit, tying the black theme all together.

Boston has been hit by back to back blizzards, so it is time to pull out those winter boots. Most winter boots are not too fashion forward; however, these Hunter winter boots I have been wearing this winter are patent leather on the sides with a rubber bottom perfect for the slush.

Get My Look: 1. A pair of thick leggings. 2. Adorable skull fingerless gloves. 3. Stylish winter boots.
