STYLE GURU STYLE: Beige on a Budget

Hello Fashionista/os!  It’s almost autumn and I cannot wait until we start getting into the cooler months. I can’t wait for scarves, sweaters and booties.

One of my favorite colors to wear is beige. In summer, it looks great with a tan and some gold, dainty jewelry. Since we are not quite into fall just yet, I thought a casual day dress suited the late summer weather. As I’ve said before, I love wearing basic outfits and pairing them with some fun shoes. These wedge sandals go with so many outfits and the faux suede touch transitions into fall really well. The color is a nice tan/taupe, which pairs well with so many outfits and can be dressed up or down. These shoes could look great with another casual dress or with cuffed jeans as we get into sweater weather.

To keep it the accessorizing simple, I adorned the look with a dainty initial necklace to add a subtle hint of personality and fun.  The color trend of beige, camel and tan really influenced me this summer and have made an impact on my wardrobe for the upcoming autumn months. As the season progresses, I hope to incorporate burgundy and blush pinks into my wardrobe to go with my beige items. This fall is going to be all about trying new combinations and possibly even throwing in a pattern or two. If you never enjoyed the color beige or thought it was not an aesthetic you enjoyed, I encourage you to try one piece to incorporate into your wardrobe. For me, my gateway into my love for beige was a coat like this Zara one.
