STYLE GURU STYLE: Balmain Is Life

The Cavs may be in the playoffs, but the only ball I care about is the Balmain resort 2016 collection. The resort collection is the #BalmainArmy’s dream come true. It’s full of neutral jumpsuits, dresses, thick belts and intricate necklaces.

Today, I finally wore a Stella McCartney jumpsuit I have been meaning to wear. Taking inspiration from the show, I cinched the waist with a copper kate spade double wrap belt I picked up at Neiman Marcus a few weeks ago. By now, it’s no secret that I love a good cross-body bag. They’re versatile, trendy and practical. For this outfit, I added a ZAC Zac Posen purse that’s just big enough for my phone and some cash. Again, it’s functional without the bulk. As for the accessories, I turned to the Balmain resort collection for inspiration once again by choosing a huge silver statement necklace I got from Turkey. I kept the rest of the accessories simple—a few silver bangles and classic earrings.

Being petite, jumpsuits without heels can be tricky and shortening. But who has the time or the stamina to wear heels all day long? So, what’s a girl to do? Wear a chunky, comfortable heel, of course!  I paired buckled black heels by Chinese Laundry with the jumpsuit. They can easily be worn while running from class to class.

Next time you find yourself stuck in the middle of a sports conversation, know the bal(main) is always in your court.

Get My Look: 1. Black jumpsuit. 2. ZAC Zac Posen purse. 3. Chunky heels.
