Calling all Fashionistas/os! Today, I would like to tell you all about my summer look and how it was inspired by the Alexander Wang resort 2016 runway show. In total, Alexander Wang’s line was all about black and white. From bold skirts to trench coats to chunky black sandals, Alexander Wang executed a lot of unique styles. More specifically, the look that inspired me a lot in this line was look 16. Here, he displayed a model wearing a bold white T-shirt and a long pleated black skirt. To finish off the look, Alexander added a pair of signature chunky black sandals. While this look makes quite the statement, I found a way to create my own casual summer look.
Here I am wearing a plain black T-shirt with a black and white patterned skirt. Although my look is not an exact replica of Alexander Wang’s bold style, the structure and simplicity of my black shirt was directly inspired by the white top portrayed in look 16. As for the patterned skirt, I chose to wear a more casual piece rather than a long pleated black skirt. By picking a black and white skirt, however, I still managed to follow Alexander Wang’s black and white trend. As for my shoes, I chose to wear a simple black pair of sandals. While black and white is clearly in style, I still believe that every summer look deserves a pop of color. Therefore, I decided to complete my look with a bold beaded bracelet. The orange-blue and gold beads stand out amongst the black and white fabric of my clothing, allowing for the dash of color that every summer outfit needs. Like my style? All you need is black and white and a splash of color!
