STYLE GURU STYLE: Baby, I Like the Way You Move

A light and breezy sundress that has a floral print paired with black chunky platforms is always a staple in my wardrobe. Adding the lightweight green sweater is perfect for those breezy summer days. I absolutely love the easy feel in this outfit when I’m going out or running errands.

A runway show that completely inspires me is Fendi’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. I love how this collection was based around movement and focused on stitching and designing clothes that used optical illusions and new ways of making clothes such as a method called “high frequency.” The collection featured a graphic flower print that caught my eye but also using cool and warm tones, which felt very relaxed. I also think what made the collection stand out was its diversity with fabrics used in either one outfit or in multiple outfits.

My look is very focused on the movement of things, which is exactly what Fendi’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection was about. The dress I wore featured a floral print such as Fendi’s featured dresses that had the blue graphic flower print. The mixing of unlikely fabrics and optical illusions was a big part of my outfit as well as their collection. The dress I wore had a geometric shape of lace on each side against the cotton fabric making the eyes go up and down. Fendi created optical illusions by slashing their skins vertically making the eye go up and down.

My outfit was as well a mix of fabrics which I think is very important to create texture and it’s something different to add a sweater on a summer day while having a very lose dress. If you saw the pieces separately, you wouldn’t think that they would go together, but using different season’s trends together creates a refreshing outfit for a nice summer day!

Get My Look: 1. A loose and lightweight dress. 2. Any lightweight sweater. 3. Chunky platforms.
