STYLE GURU STYLE: Autumn Layers

Autumn has officially found its way to us and we couldn’t be more excited. The leaves have slowly begun their transition and so have our wardrobe! Equivalent to layering and pumpkin spice everything, it’s time we start digging deep inside our closets for the chilly days ahead.

Known for their minimalistic aesthetic appeal, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen invites us to their latest Elizabeth and James’s spring ’17 collection. Together, they present us with their line of loose, flowy monochromatic garments that can be mix and match into an abundant array of outfits creating interchangeable silhouettes and degree of warmness.

Wide leg trousers paired with elongated layers stole center stage on their runway. If there’s an item to spurge on this autumn, it’s would be a perfect pair of fitted wide leg trousers. Dress up or down, they are the perfect statement to any wardrobe. Their comfortability is an added bonus. The drape jacket creates an understated elegance ideal for cold mornings and nights and can effortlessly be removed during the day. Lightweight layers help keep this outfit from feeling bulky. At a closer look, small details such as the scallop detailing located on the top and the oversize sunglasses and silver accessories help keep this look intriguing and extra chic.

It’s pretty easy to get my look, first you need a good pair of wide leg trousers. Next, add a  long-line drape jacket and lastly, some oversize sunglasses.

As the days grow cooler, keep your loved ones, furry friends, and even your secret stuff animal close for cozy snuggles. That’s what I’ll be doing with Rosie, the sweetest pug you’ll ever meet. Stay warm and rock those layers!
