STYLE GURU STYLE: Autumn Basics

It’s the time of the year when it starts to get chilly and I begin to lose inspiration for my style. Summer is officially over and there’s a chill in the air here in Ohio. For me, this means it time to break out the scarves, sweaters and boots. I tend to gravitate towards pieces that keep it simple but look great.

This season I’m definitely into leather jackets and blanket scarves. Separate or together, they create stylish yet incredibly warm looks that I can wear almost anywhere. Staying warm is the goal and these basic pieces are what I reach for as the temperature begins to drop. My leather jacket is a staple in my wardrobe and I’m a sucker for anything plaid.

The best part is if I get too hot I can remove the jacket and convert my blanket scarf into a poncho. I love the versatility of the blanket scarf. It can go from being an accessory to a key outfit piece, which has made finding what to wear an absolute breeze these past few weeks. No matter what the unpredictable weather has in store for me I’m always prepared with these seasonal pieces. I pair these pieces with my simple black bag to carry everything I might need as I enjoy all the activities that comes with the change of the seasons. Finding easy to pair pieces has been my focus as I start to make the transition into cooler weather. I plan on sticking with classic pieces that never go out of style leading up to the winter months. Good luck and stay warm Fashionista/os.
