STYLE GURU STYLE: Androgynously Dressed

Prada put forth yet another stunning runway show for its fall 2015 menswear collection. The continuous use of color palettes and masculine silhouettes on each look down the catwalk was enough inspiration to rock menswear every day for the rest of the year. The cut and shape on each ensemble was sharp, crisp and so distinct, it made every outfit look seamless. I fell even further in love when Prada also showcased women wearing these masculine pieces paired with high ponytails that made them look so chic and feminine. Prada understood that the line between womenswear and menswear can be integrated.

Staying true to Prada’s hues and style, I played with a black oversized sweater I got from the men’s section and a boxy, navy blue coat. I still kept in touch with my personal style by balancing it out with a white collared shirt and light blue acid-washed jeans. I translated the sharpness and crispness of Prada into my outfit by using my Chero shoes from Shelly’s London. Its glossy and masculine silhouette effortlessly ties the whole look together. I also went for a half top-knot bun to push the androgynous vibe even further.

This fall 2015 menswear collection taught me that it is perfectly fine to pass the women’s sale section and head straight to the men’s section. I learned masculine shapes, cuts and silhouettes can also compliment a woman’s body. Androgynous fashion is so in and I will be rocking the half top-knot bun hairstyle before it becomes fetch.

Get My Look: 1. An oversized men’s sweater. 2. The perfect boxy coat. 3. Masculine shoes for women.
