STYLE GURU STYLE: All White Everything

More often than not, I consider myself a minimalist when it comes to tying together my outfit for the day. The look of simplicity is effortless yet appealing and this was a recurring theme in Porsche Design’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. Just like its luxurious cars, Porsche does not disappoint when it comes to fashion. Using my favorite color palette of neutrals, creative director Thomas Steinbrueck did a phenomenal job depicting this season’s latest trends by using a small variety of material, but still emanating the pieces in a sleek and elegant manner.

Since I couldn’t just choose one, I decided to integrate a few different looks from Porsche’s runway show through the comfort of my own wardrobe. I maintained my focus on a particular aspect of his collection that caught my eye, which featured timeless looks using the colors of white, beige and tan.

I altered the designer’s business casual theme to something more relaxed by combining white jeans with a loose open back blouse. In order to prevent myself from looking like a white crayon, I found it important to stabilize the intensity of the color; therefore, I decided to incorporate tan and beige into my shoes and accessories. The strappy heels offer a lot of support on the feet and easily makes the outfit suitable for a day or night outing. Since a purse is essential for any outfit, I switched out my normal black bag for a tan cross-body one. To top it all off, I added a wool hat to make those sunny afternoons a little more tolerable for my sensitive eyes and why not?

Get My Look: 1. Loose white blouse. 2. White jeans. 3. Strappy heels. 4. Wool hat.
