STYLE GURU STYLE: All About the Moto

What embodies strength, femininity and power? The Belstaff fall/winter 2016 ready- to-wear collection. Moto jacket silhouettes, quilted texture, tight high-waisted pants and ankle booties, this collection has Fashionistas running to emulate these looks. Belstaff is all about the tough girl aesthetic within this season. The color story consists of black, white, cool grays and accents of military green and red portraying an effortlessly cool quality. What I particularly enjoyed the variety of different fabrics and textiles used within the collection, including not only leather and suede, but also knit, fur, wools and organza.

This collection inspired me to put together this outfit that I believe portrays a very relaxed and trendy attitude. First I grabbed my high-waisted leggings that have a mesh insert running up the outside seam of the leg. These leggings pull off that edgy and stylish look perfect for pulling off that Belstaff essence. To pair with that, I incorporated one of my favorites by adding a graphic T-shirt to the look so that it added a little something extra alongside my jacket that features a casual take on the traditional moto-styled jacket.

For the accessories, I went straight to the pair of shoes that make me feel most confident: my black lace-up booties. These booties bring the utilitarian style that Belstaff incorporates within their collection. For my jewelry, I went with my everyday silver necklace representing the first initial of my name and two silver rings matching the accents on my jacket. To add a little bit of print, I went straight for my little shoulder bag with does just that! With both the accessories and clothes, this outfit embodies Belstaff’s fall/winter 2016 collection.

Get My Look: 1. A moto-styled jacket. 2. Any graphic T-shirt. 3. Black lace-up booties.
