STYLE GURU STYLE: adidas Addiction

I think we’ve all had those moments when you’re wearing a new pair of boots that look perfect, and you even got them 50 percent off, but after walking all the way to class, you already feel like you need to cover your feet in Band-Aids! I’ve recently become obsessed with wearing sneakers. My friends would laugh if they read that because I’m more likely to be found sleeping in bed than at the gym, but I really love fashionable sneakers for everyday wear. I feel that I can still be stylish while making the long trek to class more bearable!

The Jeremy Scott fall 2014 line inspired this look because all of the models sported adidas sneakers in their looks. From formal looks to casual looks, all of the models wear simple adidas sneakers. This look has become dramatically popular in fashion. I first noticed the trend on fashion bloggers and before I knew it people all over the streets have widely adopted this trend and I couldn’t help but hop on the bandwagon. As a college student, I adopted this look with arms wide open. I wear my adidas sneakers more often than I probably should because they’re so comfortable and easy, yet I don’t look like I’m on my way to the gym! I find them really easy to pair with leggings, jeans or even a dress. I wore a simple outfit in order to show off the details on my jacket. The jean jacket had slits on the side that are lined with plaid. I thought this element was really cool, so I kept everything else neutral colored.

To achieve this look, adidas or any white sneakers are really popular and I definitely recommend getting a pair! I wear a lot of basics with staple items. Jean jackets are a great way to stay warm thrown over a graphic T-shirt or sweater. Finding a ripped or decorated jean jacket will make it unique and standout with a simple outfit. A staple necklace is a great item to have in order to pull a look together.
