STYLE GURU STYLE: A Summer InVESTment

In this outfit I really thought this vest made this entire look, and let’s be real—what celebrity hasn’t tried to pull off this look? I noticed a similar style in the Gucci 2016 fall ready-to-wear collection of a monochromatic look with a beautifully tailored off-white midi coat that can perfect any look in any season.

Any piece of this outfit can be put together in many different ways which makes this whole look very versatile and affordable to replicate. The structure of the coat from this collection inspired me to show that any outfit can be unified by one piece, taking the look to another level.

This look reminded me of my Topshop light gray vest that I’m obsessed with wearing. I think the vest unifies almost any casual outfit and the neutral tone makes it very versatile. The jeans that are featured in this look are also from Topshop and are definitely one of my favorites. Also, adding any simple white T-shirt or tank top would be suitable for this on-the-go chic look.

My Rebecca Minkoff go-to bag inspired by the purse chain detail in this runway look gives this casual attire a little bit of an edge. Also to add detail, I paired my outfit with kensie nude ankle wrap heels which can also be any classic nude or neutral colored heel.

Keeping with the theme of neutrality and the vest as the focal point, white jeans or black leggings would work well, and maybe even a high ponytail. Any gold or silver dainty jewelry would also complement the look, as well as a strappy black lace-up heel. And, of course, I had to finish off the outfit with the classic, all-black aviators from Ray-Ban.

Get My Look: 1. Light gray vest. 2. Knee-ripped jeans. 3. Nude ankle wrap heels. 3. Rebecca Minkoff bag. 4. Ray-Ban sunglasses.
