STYLE GURU STYLE: A Pop Of Orange

Bright colors, a fun pattern and clean lines are just a couple of my favorite things about J.Crew pieces. Their structured blazers, striped tops and crisp dress pants are just a few of the staple items I own and cherish in my own closet. Their recent fall 2015 runway show was no different. The entire collection sported neon pieces, muted neutrals and of course a plethora of bold patterns. Although one of my favorite things about J.Crew is the structure of their pieces, I also love taking the idea of their bright colors and making them work for something more my style.

I absolutely fell in love with this outfit from the runway show. I loved the bright orange, the sweater layered over the fringe skirt and the checkered scarf. It looks classic, chic and put together. As much as I loved how chic this outfit looked, I wanted to put my own twist on it and make it something I could wear on a regular day of class.

I love layering sweaters over dresses and skirts; it’s one of my favorite ways to transition into fall. Though I loved the fringe on the J.Crew model, I opted for something a little more casual for my outfit. I layered an orange Free People sweater over a loose lace dress to create a similar look, but with a more bohemian vibe. I love wearing outfits that are flowy and comfortable. I then tied it together with black leggings, a patterened scarf, taupe-colored booties and gold jewelry. I now have the perfect outfit that’s both comfortable and trendy!

Get My Look: 1. A cozy sweater. 2. A lace dress. 3. Taupe-colored booties.
