STYLE GURU STYLE: A Bold Blackout

There is something so classy and chic about wearing all black. It can turn a simple outfit into an extraordinary one with the right accessories. Now, wearing all black in the summer can be tough but if you choose the right days, it makes it all worth it. It is slimming and looks good on everyone! There is no way you can go wrong with a blackout ensemble but here are a few tips to create the perfect outfit and where I got my inspiration!

When I saw Cushine et Ochs spring 2017 fashion show, I was immediately in awe. They are well known for their scandalous cutouts and flirty body-con silhouettes. When putting my outfit together, I choose to take their style and put more of a casual twist on it. I wore skintight black jeans with a cuffed bottom to make my legs look longer and give my shoes some of the spotlight. A simple black T-shirt with a laced up V-neck, gives this look a more daring component, combing Cushine et Ochs’ body-hugging philosophy with a unique neckline! I tucked part of my shirt in to give my waist more of a cinched look and an hourglass shape, making a looser shirt more of a body-con bodice. Adding accessories makes all the difference. A red bandana tied as a scarf is a fashion favorite this season and worked so well with this outfit! My favorite Valentino bag gives my outfit the perfect touch to match my red scarf and lips. Throw on a cute pair of sunnies and tie your hair up in a tight pony and your outfit is complete!

This collection is a front-runner in summer style and can be worn in many different ways. Cutouts, tight dresses and deep V-necks are a huge trend that I love to embrace! A few changes here and there and you can make this a grunge outfit, something for a night out or a cute outfit to wear for a variety of summer activities! There are so many ways to pull off a blackout and this is one of my favorites!
