What does Kendall Jenner, corsets, oversized jackets and chokers all have in common? They were all apart of Balmain’s fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection last season. The collection included a pretty pastel palette, textures and tassels. However, my favorite part of this collection were the elegant chokers and oversized jackets! I was never a fan of the ‘90s chokers trend, but after seeing this collection let’s just say it has become my everyday accessory.
Taking inspiration from the Balmain collection and my love for dressing simple things up, I transformed my simple black jumpsuit into an elegant outfit. My look includes an all-black strapless crop jumpsuit, a long ivory jacket and a choker. The choker gives the look a ‘90s vibe as all chokers do, but the long jacket gives this outfit the elegant vibe.
If you ever need to hop from one event to another like a graduation ceremony to a dinner, this outfit is just for you! The jumpsuit is very comfortable and light, and with a pair of cute summer sandals you can stay cool during these hot summer days. When the temperature begins to drop at night and you have to run to dinner bring out that long jacket and black-heeled booties. The choker can keep the outfit casual throughout the day, but then give your outfit an edgy feel during the night.
