STYLE GURU STLYE: Quintessentially Classic

Spring hasn’t officially sprung yet, instead we are stuck in this weather limbo where it’s sunny and 65 (probably closer to 55) one day and 30 with a chance of wintery mix the next. With weather like this, figuring out what to wear is a little bit of a hassle. So when I unexpectedly was hit with a 60 degree day recently, I thought back to The Row’s spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection. Their ready-to-wear collection was simple, classic and not traditionally spring colors, which was a relief to me.  My closet is filled with shades of gray, black and blue. I took the simpleness of The Row’s little black dress and paired it with the bold lips that were showcased in the Celine show. So in order to stay comfortable yet weather appropriate, I pulled out my favorite charcoal gray T-shirt dress and I may have borrowed (stolen) my little sister’s Converse.

My simple T-shirt dress is the perfect everyday alternative to a LBD. It’s incredibly comfortable and versatile. I paired it with the ever-classic black cardigan, which is the perfect thickness. These two pieces are essential to a minimalist wardrobe as they can easily be used to create an effortlessly sophisticated look.

I kept it simple with the jewelry wearing only my sartorial silver rings, and my new clover necklace. I recently purchased it off of Etsy, which is the first place I check when I’m looking to add to my jewelry collection. To keep my hair out my face on this windy day, I used my favorite, which literally allows me to take all of my hair and just pin it up.  I love it because it gives the outfit a touch of glamour due to the accidental up do. To finish the look off, I went for a berry colored lip stain balm to add a little bit of color to the outfit.
