STYLE GURU BIO: Ximena Perez

Hi there Fashionistas/os!

I’m super excited to be back for the summer internship as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. For those of you who don’t know, my name is Ximena and I am getting my major in history at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in Mexico City. Some of my hobbies and passions in life are traveling, running, literature and yes, fashion. So, if you are a fellow Style Guru, welcome back my friend! If you are a reader, then welcome to the wonderful world of CollegeFashionista, your number one source for everything fashion for college girls and boys.

I have been very busy with school and work lately. I absolutely love my degree and I feel very passionate about it, nevertheless, I was also very much waiting for summer. I finished all my schoolwork and exams prior to the actual end of the semester, so I thought I should give myself a much-deserved vacation away from everything. So, as I write this post, I’m almost on my way out to the airport. I will be leaving for Alaska in a few hours, how exciting!?

Now, let me tell you about my outfit choice for today’s post. I’m wearing a variation of my usual “airport uniform” which tends to be comfortable and cozy, but clean and put together. Comfort is the key word when we talk about flying, you should be able to move around freely in your clothes. Also, you must keep in mind that plane cabins tend to get super cold once airborne, so you need warm, cozy clothes, which doesn’t translate by any means to sweatpants and UGGs (sorry, not sorry).

In these photos, I’m wearing a pair of skinny, stretchy jeans; an oversized, long sleeved, cotton shirt and my perfectly worn-out leather jacket. I accessorized with my silver jewelry and Ray-Ban sunglasses. To finish the look, and for practical purposes, I’m wearing my Homo Habilis tote and Converse sneakers.

Let’s have a great summer, full of fashionable adventures!
