Hello fellow fashion lovers! My name is Veronica, and I am a senior at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. I love finding new and interesting ways to transform my day-to-day outfits. Being in such a large city like Chicago, I find inspiration all around me and that’s why I’m so excited to be sharing the looks of the Fashionista/os in the Windy City.
I am currently majoring in public relations and advertising with a minor in sociology. I recently returned from a trip to New York City where I hope to intern for a public relations agency. In addition to being a Style Guru, I am actively involved around campus as a member of my sorority, Phi Mu Fraternity and CHAARG (Changing Health, Attitudes, and Actions to Recreate Girls). I also work at DePaul’s recreation center as a lifeguard and swim instructor.
I would not say that I identify with one particular style, but I enjoy having a mix of tough and girly in each outfit. I love finding inspiration on Pinterest and figuring out how to achieve something similar.
My closet staples are black yoga pants, my moto jacket, scarves and chunky booties. As you can see in my outfit today, I stick to neutral clothing and add some personality through accessorizing. Blanket scarves are my new favorite accessories for winter, especially in Tartan plaid! I keep warm in chilly Chicago winters with a simple beanie (I have this one in a wine color, too). I take my outfits to the next level with bracelets, earrings and rings. I’m a huge fan of statement lipstick, and you can typically find me wearing lip color before most other makeup.
