STYLE GURU BIO: Tina Liu

Hi guys! My name is Tina, and I’m so excited to be writing for CollegeFashionista this spring! A little bit about me: I’m a junior at Rutgers University majoring in Psychology, Human Resources Management, and Information Technology and Informatics. Aside from my studies, I love binge-watching shows, playing video games and experimenting with makeup!

So, how does fashion fit into all of this? Well, it’s not always a priority of mine. There are so many days where I’m lounging around in a T-shirt and sweatpants, trying to get work done or catching up on shows. Let’s be real; Who gets dressed only to go back to lying in bed or chilling on the couch? That being said, I also make it a point to look presentable whenever I am going anywhere that isn’t within a 10 foot vicinity of my house. I believe it’s important to show the world the best version of yourself as often as you can! Although I have my dress down days, I’m not ashamed to say that when I do get ready to go out, I often end up spending way too much time perfecting my look.

I would describe my style as feminine and casual. I like wearing low-key basic pieces in neutral colors and elevating them with accessories, an accent color, and a bold lip. In terms of accessories, I am addicted to rose gold pieces. They always look feminine and classy, and they can match almost any outfit. In the same vein, I just love all types of metallic accents, especially on bags and shoes. Yes, in typical girly fashion, my eyes light up and I get tunnel vision whenever I see anything shiny (and pink)!

At the moment, I am obsessed with accessorizing my outfits with this rose gold tone watch from Michael Kors, pink pearl earrings and a rose gold heart pendant necklace.

I’m super pumped to share my thoughts on trending styles with you guys, and I can’t wait to see what this upcoming semester has in store!
