STYLE GURU BIO: Tiffany Pao Yang

Greetings, Fashionista/os! I am Tiffany Pao Yang, an upcoming junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I currently have my eyes set on the Life Sciences Communication major and am hoping to pursue a career in public health administration. Other than my studies and future occupation, I have a keen interest for fashion.

During my middle and high school years, I thought fashion was anything labeled Abercrombie & Fitch, Aeropostale, American Eagle Outfitters and Old Navy. Not that they don’t offer fashionable items, but because nearly everyone wore these name brands, I conformed to the norm and never opened myself to different styles and brands. However, over the years, I have succumbed to the simple, “throw on whatever” style. Maybe it’s just my lazy college student go-to style, but what I realized is how comfortable I am now with what I wear. Therefore, I always say to myself or tell others, “Whatever floats my boat, goes.”

I’d say that the majority of the time, if you spot me out and about, I’m usually in a simple T-shirt with a pair of boyfriend jeans and sneakers. I am not too big on accessories, however, a hat or a bracelet are exceptions. What can I say, I like it simple and easy!

Unfortunately, this summer I will not be on the beautiful Madison campus to share with you the different diverse styles the students have to offer. Because I will be in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, two and a half hours northeast, I will definitely reroute my fashion-scouting plan. I’ve got to say though, I’m super stoked about being a Style Guru this summer!
