Hello and welcome all Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Tess and I am thrilled to be a returning Style Guru for CollegeFashionista this winter. I will also be working in our Chicago offices assisting in some fab behind the scenes projects! I am a junior at DePaul University, majoring in public relations and advertising with a concentration in marketing.
I have always had a love for the fashion industry and it will continue to always be a passion of mine. If I ever find myself with an ounce of free time, I am most likely scrolling through a few of my favorite fashion blogs or reading up on new beauty or hair trends. I love the fashion world, and I hope to pursue a career in the field very soon.
My style has certainly evolved in college. I place a lot of importance in laid back, effortless looks, while still finding a way to look put together. The street style in the city feeds my inspiration for my outfits. This past fall, I juggled the life of a busy college student while interning five days a week in an office setting. I mastered the art of comfort-chic! I love dressing up sneakers with neutrals, incorporating activewear with edgier pieces like a sophisticated jacket. Minimal the better in my book!
I am thrilled to be scouting out trends on campus this winter. Even if Chicago is known for its ruthless sub-zero days, it will never stop a Fashionista/o. Trendy Chicagoans have mastered the art of looking stylish, yet prepared to take on the arctic winds that await us.
