STYLE GURU BIO: Terri-Ann Mattadeen

Good day! My name is Terri, and I am a fifth year BA/MA student studying history at The City College of New York. Although my major is based on chronological events, I feel fashion is the same. An item from the past will always comeback…or reinvent itself. Besides my strong enthusiasm for history and fashion, I am a food connoisseur! Discovering new restaurants has become a hobby of mine, thanks to Instagram.

I have no definite style or specified color palette. As long as I feel comfortable and the outfit looks cute, I am a happy camper. My closet has pieces that are catered to my personality. I cannot live without statement necklaces, cross-body bags, fedoras, and outerwear. My style ranges from classic to monochromatic to edgy to vintage (anything multi-functional). Fashion is indefinite, and you are the curator of your look.

As the seasons change throughout the year, your style can change or stay the same. This look is brought to you by the brisk weather. I took a gray suede jacket and threw it over a black, basic knit turtleneck and black frayed jeans. The outerwear I chose is a wool coat for the wind chills. On my feet I have basic black, ankle booties. This jeweled bib necklace and black embossed bag complete the look.

I hope you all adore this look as much as I do. Be sure to check back every month for new fashion finds! To keep up with updates on my latest posts, be sure to follow my social media!
