STYLE GURU BIO: Teria Litman

Merry Christmas, Fashionistas/os! My name is Teria Litman. I am a junior at Iowa State University, majoring in Apparel Merchandising & Design with an emphasis on Merchandising and minoring in Entrepreneurial Studies. In my spare time, I like to watch and make YouTube videos, and read up on the latest fashion trends!

One fun fact about me is that I have traveled all over the world due to the my mom being in the military. I was born in Oahu, Hawaii, but have also lived in Georgia before moving here to Iowa. Even at that time, people dress differently down south. My mom told me before moving here that, “You’re gonna stick out like a sore thumb.” She was right! I have had a love for fashion and shoes since day one, and I would always dress differently from my friends. I wanted to build a brand for myself by being different!

I have gone through many stages of fashion: from the plain rockstar look, to toning everything down and drawing the attention of outfits with accessories! Now that I’ve ditched the crazy colors, I am beginning  to shape my style to fit my personality and lifestyle. I am very simple; you won’t catch me in any crazy, bright colors. I have recreated myself and my style. The main color I typically wear is black, but I also love to wear olive green, maroon & dark gray.

This will be my first semester interning for CollegeFashionista, and I could not be more excited. Around campus, I see so many different styles that inspire me every day and I’m excited to share them with you. Get ready, Fashionistas/os, to show me what YOU are working with!
