STYLE GURU BIO: Taylor Wanbaugh

Hey, y’all! My name is Taylor Wanbaugh, and I’m super excited for the opportunity to be working for CollegeFashionista this summer! I’m a Journalism major with an emphasis in Magazine Writing at the the University of Missouri-Columbia (Go Tigers!). Although I go to Mizzou, I’m definitely a Southerner at heart. I hail from the great state of North Carolina, which means I’m three hours from the ocean and three hours from the mountains (basically the best of both worlds).

My sense of style is completely my own. I really couldn’t categorize my style into any particular genre; it is way too unique! One day I’ll be rocking a preppy look, and the next, I’ll be decked out in ‘90s grunge. It all just depends on what catches my eye and shows off my personality. I like wearing pieces that are different than what everyone else is wearing; I guess you could say I like to swim against the stream!

I think that’s my favorite part about fashion: the ability to express yourself as an individual and personalize your wardrobe. This particular outfit does just that. With my being 5’11” and rarely finding dresses that are long enough for my mile-long legs, my latest fashion obsession has become rompers. I love this versatile romper partially because it features my favorite kind of flowers and also because of its ability to be dressed up or down. I threw on my favorite pair of combat boots to make the outfit a bit more casual.

My accessories are simple, but are a staple of my everyday wardrobe. I love Alex and Ani bangles and my Pandora charm bracelet because it’s a way to show off my personality and each has a special meaning to me.

Stay tuned every Tuesday to see the latest fashion trends people are rocking on campus!
