With cooler weather, falling leaves and football season all around the corner, this Style Guru is ready for the fall season. While in the past I’ve enjoyed translating your accessories into style advice with the Friday column, this fall I thought I’d give you a chance to speak more directly. Throughout this semester, I will be covering the FASHIONISTA/O SPOTLIGHT, interviewing Gonzaga University’s finest for style tips, what inspires them and whatever else you may want to know!
Style is something that is so personal and is an outlet to express your individuality. It can reflect your mood or your character. Even though I wish that I could replicate the amazing style that I see on all of the iconic models and celebrities, I am more of a simple kind of girl; but I am still attracted to the extravagant style of others. Which is why I love CollegeFashionista; it captures individuals’ sense of style all over the country.
Fashion is so wide-ranging that when it comes to style possibilities, why limit yourself to just one style? Certain days I wake up feeling a bit girly and proceed by piling on the pastels. If I am feeling bold and fearless, I will don a blazer and conservative slacks. There is no stopping from mixing styles if I choose to have dual fashion profiles. Cardigans, scarves, sweaters, scarves and shoes (did I say scarves?) makes up my closet.
Like many girls, I have always enjoyed shopping; but back to school shopping has always been my favorite part of the year. It’s an opportunity to change up your look and implement some of the new trends to your wardrobe. With that said, I couldn’t be more excited to start capturing the latest fall looks. See you on campus!
