STYLE GURU BIO: Taylor Fellman

Hi guys! My name is Taylor Fellman and I am a first year business management major at Pennsylvania State University.

Growing up in south Florida definitely let me personalize my wardrobe to year-round summer clothing. Even though I’ve been a figure skater since I was three, the cold environment I experienced was only a mere couple of hours in my day. When it came down to it, it was still summer outside. Between sundresses, skirts, jean shorts, a ridiculous amount of bikinis, sandals and some more bikinis, my lifestyle has always revolved around the same season of clothing. Besides traveling to New York, Colorado and Vancouver for vacation, I’d never even thought about Burberry coats and North Face gloves. Before moving to Pennsylvania, scarves, leg warmers and layers never even crossed my mind. But going to school up north has led me to open my wardrobe to clothes I never thought I’d own.

My unhealthiest fashion obsession is with shoes and bags, and I mean a true obsession. Shoes and accessories honestly make or break your outfit, so you can never go wrong with a lavish touch of accessories. I own at least 50 pairs of shoes, ranging from every different type of sandal and heel to sneakers and now, boots. And as for bags? I can’t get my hands on enough of them. Between Michael Kors, kate spade and Tory Burch, my need for more only gets worse with time.

My fashion role models are Shay Mitchell and Kendall Jenner, as I would describe my style to be very similar to theirs. While their styles are so clean and bohemian, they manage to look like pure goddesses in such easy and comfortable ways. Who says you can’t wear a cute dress with a comfy pair of converse? As long as you’ve got the perfect purse to match it, you’re set. I’m not afraid to admit, I’m occasionally guilty of wearing sweats and a pair of Uggs to class, but let’s be real, who isn’t? If you’re having a great morning, throw on those distressed jeans and crop top and rock it, but if you’re having a bad one, kill it in those sweats. At the end of the day, wearing what makes you feel good is key.

With an inspiration to hit it big one day, I plan to pursue my passion for business and fashion and further my knowledge here at school.
