Hi everyone! My name is Tati and I am currently a junior at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA—although I’ll always be a New York City girl at heart, where I’m from. My style icons include Eleanor Calder, Selena Gomez, Rihanna and Kendall and Kylie Jenner, in no specific order, and I also can not wait for it to get cooler outside because I LIVE for fall fashion. I am majoring in theatre and minoring in sociology, but after I graduate I plan on attending cosmetology school, seeing as beauty and fashion/style are two of my biggest passions. I currently have a beauty/makeup/lifestyle website that I began recently and I am loving it. Being able to participate in this internship as well definitely makes me feel like I’m doing it all, and I could not be happier!
I was super into style and fashion in high school, but honestly—and it pains me to admit this—I really did start to slack when I got to college. It was just SO EASY to roll out of bed 15 minutes before class and just throw on a pair of leggings or sweatpants! I really lost that touch I used to have.you know, the one where you show up to class at 8:30 am and everyone asks you where you’re going and who you’re all dressed up for (obviously, the answer is always yourself). I applied to be a Style Guru because I realized that I miss fashion! I miss spending time on my outfits, paying attention to trends and using my style and clothing choices as more than just something convenient to get around campus in…if that makes sense. I am so, so glad and honored to be a part of this community because I will be surrounded by strong, beautiful people who share my interests and will inspire me, and remind me everyday that fashion is truly such a powerful expression and is so worth waking up earlier. The style that I chose to represent me here encompasses the mid-point of style that I have recently reached that I have seemed to find a home in, between throwing on easy pieces and using those pieces purposely to create a look for myself. For example, I used my Converse, which are typically a staple for me, the two necklaces that I always wear and plain black Nike leggings, but also utilized my green Free People criss-cross tank top, J. Crew denim jacket and street sunglasses to top the look off. Plus, I have my brand new pink hair which I’m obsessed with!!
