Hey Fashionista/os! My name is Tara Stacy and I am a junior journalism major at Ithaca College. This is my fifth semester with CollegeFashionista and I’m so excited to get started again!

Interning with CF for the past few semesters has been so exciting and inspiring for me, and I am so grateful to them for allowing me to express my love of fashion through such a creative outlet. The site has grown and changed even in the short amount of time that I have been here and I can’t wait to see what the future brings now that we are a part of Clique Media Group. I have loved my experience with CF so far and I’m so excited for the upcoming spring as well.

My fashion obsession began with my love for playing dress up as a child which has seemingly continued into my adulthood. Playing dress up was a way to express myself and to feel confident in what I was wearing, and I still do that today. I feel that fashion is a beautiful form of self-expression that allows women and men to be whoever they want to be.

My love for reading also allowed me to discover the wonderful world that is the magazine industry. I loved seeing the gorgeous spreads and picturing myself in the clothes that the models were wearing, and dreamed of one day being able to play in the coveted Teen Vogue closet and put outfits together for a photoshoot.

I would describe my style as eclectic because what I wear completely depends on my mood and the season. In the summer I tend to gravitate towards more boho pieces, but in the fall and winter, my style is much more minimalistic. However, the one constant in my wardrobe for years has been neutrals, especially colors like black, gray, and beige.

This look has been a staple for me this winter. My winter jacket is a much less expensive dupe of a super popular Acne Studios one, but it is so cozy and very high quality. I paired it with my go-to black distressed jeans to add a little texture to the look. All of my staple sweaters in the wintertime tend to be a neutral color because they go with everything. I threw on a pair of black suede booties to elevate the look. This outfit is perfect if you’re running out the door to a coffee date or class.

I’m so excited for what the new semester brings and I can’t wait to take you all along with me!
