Hey there! My name is Sydney, and I am currently a junior at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. I am majoring in business and marketing education and minoring in retail merchandising. This is my first ever semester as a Style Guru, and I am so excited!
Ever since I can remember, my favorite hobby has been shopping. When I was younger, I would go on vacations with my parents. While my dad was off at conferences or meetings, my mom and I would be out shopping. I have vivid memories of these moments and my mom making me choose one skirt over another because she wouldn’t let me have both. Nowadays, I am the one limiting myself so my bank account doesn’t hit zero.
My style is usually pretty simple. I think the clothes you decide to wear say so much about you, and I absolutely love staying up to date on trends while still staying true to my style. I have a lot of ear piercings that are always filled with simple studs and a decent amount of rings that you will never catch me without.
For this look, I am wearing a cozy, boxy turtleneck sweater. I am all about turtlenecks for these cold, Minnesota winters that I put myself through. This dark red, maroon color is also one of my absolute favorites! I paired it with some high-waisted dark wash skinny jeans and simple suede taupe booties.
