STYLE GURU BIO: Stephanie Savage

Hello my fellow readers and fashion lovers! My name is Stephanie Savage and I am from Long Island, New York. I am currently a senior at the University of Rhode Island, and this is my first semester as a Style Guru and I am super excited! My major is Textiles, Fashion Merchandising and Design at URI and I am also pursuing a minor in Public Relations. I cannot wait to contribute my styles, fashions and writings to CollegeFashionista!

I have always been a lover of the fashion world. When I was younger, I would cut out different outfits and glue them together on pieces of paper. I would also dress up in crazy clothes and put shows on for my family. You could say I was a bit of a show off. I had always known that fashion was a passion of mine, but when I got to college I was finally able to expand on it. From taking fashion merchandising classes to textile science and even retail math, my brain is full of fashion knowledge. I consider myself an extrovert, as I am confident, outgoing and can talk to anyone and everyone I meet. The fashion world is extremely fast paced, which is what I love so much about it.

To describe my style, I would say I go for a boho-chic look most of time but I believe there are no rules to fashion and everyone should have their own personal style. If I want to wear combat boots ones day to shoot for an edgier look, I do it and love it! My favorite store is Free People, for sure. I love how unique and well-made their products are. All of their items are relatively laid back, but you can easily look flawless in any of their products. I am also a big bargain hunter, the better the deal, the more I like something. Who says you need to spend a lot to look fabulous?

The outfit I chose for today is an everyday look that you can wear to class, shopping or even just out to lunch. Cute, casual and boho-chic was my aim for this style. I am wearing a Free People cowl neck sweater with an open back detail that is ALL THAT. It’s comfortable, yet looks great. My ripped jeans are from American Eagle Outfitters, and they were extremely affordable. I paired this look with brown riding boots, a Tory Burch cross-body bag and my rings. I love, love, love rings and you will never see me without them on! A simple, comfortable look that is quick and easy!

Now, let’s have a #RAD semester and I cannot wait for what’s to come!
