STYLE GURU BIO: Stan Taylor

Hi there fellow Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Stan Taylor and I am a senior at The University of Tennessee at Knoxville majoring in Communications. I graduate in December so this is unfortunately my last semester with CollegeFashionista. I could not be more thrilled to be back and can’t wait to fully take advantage of this great opportunity! During this summer, I definitely learned quite a bit about both my personal style and myself as a Style Guru. Being a stylist for Express has also given me the opportunity to work with great people in a very fun, fashion-forward environment. My style has significantly changed and I could not be any happier with the direction that I am headed in. Both CollegeFashionista and Express have taught me to take risks with my fashion choices and that has paid off tremendously. In a weird way it has even boosted my confidence!

Fall is definitely my favorite season! Leaves, sweaters, tailgating and no bugs— YES! I love layering and tend to struggle with my outfit choices when I can’t. Maroon is my favorite color and these oxblood joggers from PacSun go with almost everything in my closet. I’ve written about how versatile joggers are and once again, I have to proclaim how easily they translate to almost any season. I’m a sucker for both sweaters and sweatshirts and this long-line trend that has recently emerged is right up my alley. With the weather in Knoxville being so unpredictable, this faux-layered sweatshirt proved to be a great choice to keep me warm in the morning, but cool in the afternoon. Every Fashionista/o knows just how important bags are so I chose to have a bit of fun with mine! I ditched my backpack and opted for a more mature messenger bag and kept my jewelry to a minimum.

I extremely thrilled to be with CollegeFashionista one last time and can’t wait to show you what Tennessee can offer!
