Hi, fellow Fashionistas! My name is Sophie Miller and I am currently a rising junior at Marist College. I am majoring in fashion merchandising with a concentration in fashion promotion which I will be studying abroad in Florence, Italy during the fall. I have been a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista for a year now, this is my fourth semester capturing college street style. I am so excited to be home and capture fashion around my hometown in Rockland County, New York!
Fashion is something that I have always been interested in for as long as I can remember. As a child, all I would do was play dress up. Now I still get dressed up but come up with way better outfits. Over time, my style has matured from feather boas and princess costumes to something more practical. Now it is hard to describe my style in one word because it is always changing. I love any excuse to rock a dress but also love wearing my original metallic adidas shoes. My personal style really differs based on whatever has inspired me or what mood I am in on a day to day basis.
Mainly I would say that I like to dress with a bohemian inspiration as seen in the outfit above. I am wearing a white dress, which is perfect for the summer due to how flowy it is. The bell sleeves give a big statement so I keep the rest of the outfit simple with sandals and my everyday jewelry. I love jewelry that has meaning behind it, which is why I never take off my DogearedPearls of Success necklace and The Giving Keys never ending believe bracelet. These are two are always staples within my wardrobe. This look is just one example of the many looks I will be creating this summer as a returning style guru with CollegeFashionista!
