Hello, Fashionistas and Fashionistos! I’m Sneha Bhatnagar from India, studying Fashion Communication in my senior year at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Mumbai. The whole concept of fashion and lifestyle has always been jaw-droppingly fascinating for me. Fashion has various forms, and I often compare my love for it to the satisfying material pleasures of life, such as Barbie’s closet, cupcakes or glitter. I like the fresh cream of red-velvet cupcakes, along with the dazzling outfits characteristic of Barbie and the shiny light reflecting pieces of sequins and the powder of glitter. One can see a sense of fashion and inspiration in it all. It is all about perception.
I am an ardent follower of fashion. My style varies and I’m open to experimentation, as long as it’s aesthetically pleasing and conventional at the same time. Personally a lover of street style, I would say following celebrity fashion enhances one’s creative dressing sense, and it is always important to be comfortable in the ensemble you wear. I think one should always delete unnecessary add-ons that make you feel uncomfortable.
I’m simply amazed by the art forms and ideologies of today’s time, and it’s also exhilarating to see new cultures set foot into our country. One should really experience the stylish new ways of dressing up, from street style to haute couture. I am very excited to be a part of CollegeFashionista writing for the WHAT TO WEAR section. I think to bend the rules in fashion is to set a new benchmark.
