Hello Fashionastas/os! I am so excited to be a part of the summer 2016 Style Guru team. First off, I have wanted to peruse fashion for as long as I can remember, I am currently enrolled in the Fashion Merchandising program at Illinois State University and I am going to be a senior in the fall. Being on a college campus you are constantly being inspired by those around you. I try to incorporate what I see on campus into my own wardrobe and give it my personal touch.
Growing up my mother was very fashion forward and very much a fashionista herself; she taught me how to see the potential in the most unlikely of garments. Now I enjoy breathing new life into thrift store finds and combining them with new and current trends to make an eclectic and fashionable wardrobe. I try to draw inspiration for my wardrobe from all everything I am inspired by. A few words to describe my style would be minimalistic and chic.
The outfit I am wearing in the pictures above can easily be transformed from day to night for the busy girl on the go. The patterned shorts look super cute paired with the white top for an effortless chic look. I complete the look with a cute pair of sandals and I add a cute statement necklace and some chunky bracelets. The shorts I am wearing are available at JCPenney, the blouse is from Express and the sandals are from DSW.
