My name is Savannah Munoz, I’m currently studying Graphic Design as a sophomore at the University of Texas Pan-American. I’m extremely excited to start working with CollegeFashionista this fall as a Style Guru! This is my first time interning and I will be writing for Thursday’s WHAT TO WEAR category. I’m eager to see what styles everyone will be sporting for me to capture around campus for this semester. I have many passions, but I am happy to focus on three of them including fashion, photography and writing with CollegeFashionista. I can already see my talents growing with this opportunity and I hope to inspire people to show-off their inner Fashionistas/os to the world as I do.
Personally, being an art student, I view fashion as not only a way of saying who you are without saying a word, but also as a form of art. Everyday when I get dressed, I feel like a brand new canvas waiting for the paint to hit the surface. My clothes and accessories come together to make me feel like a masterpiece. It’s tough to pin-point my style because it is always changing with my mood, the season, the occasion, current looks and so on. My closet is a tornado of different styles, so anything goes. You can’t be afraid to try new things when it comes to fashion because after all, that’s the best part! Any form of art such as music, designs, magazines, cities, concerts and even the weather can inspire the way I dress, it’s all about how you look at things.
I am so stoked and thankful to begin this internship and to let my creative mind free. I’d like to thank Tere Cortes for introducing me to the world of CollegeFashionista my freshman year when she stopped me to take a photo of my outfit. When I discovered what she did, I knew I had to try it out for myself. Sharing UTPA’s looks for this fall with you all will be a blast, so keep an eye out for my posts on Thursday’s!
