Hello fellow Fashionistas/os! My name is Sarah Townsend and I am your Style Guru from the University of Oklahoma. I am a Senior at OU, studying Public Relations with a minor in Interior Design. OU was an obvious choice for me, I was born into a Sooner family.
I have always had a passion for style and clothing. From my middle school years, I remember putting on fashion shows with my friends and cutting up our old clothes to make something new. In high school I spent a summer in New York taking a course for high school students at the Fashion Institute of Technology. When deciding what I wanted to study in college, I knew that design was not my passion, but I wanted to be involved in fashion somehow.
First, I started out in the architecture college studying Interior Design. But I figured out after a year that I was not just interested in any design, but I needed to be in fashion in the clothing aspect. I switched to Public Relations and I obtained the position of a PINK campus representative. Finally, I figured out that this is the side of fashion I want to be in, not designing the clothes, but marketing them and introducing these styles to the world.
My goal as a second time Style Guru is to continue to deliver articles about different styles that I see on the University of Oklahoma campus. Fall is my personal favorite season because of sweaters and boots and of course because I love pumpkin flavored anything.
