STYLE GURU BIO: Sarah Ojacastro

Hello, readers! If you didn’t already know, my name is Sarah and I’m currently a student at the University of California Riverside. I have a large portion of my heart occupied by science and fashion, hence, the reason why I am a biochemistry major as well as a Style Guru.

I first took a liking in fashion when I learned how to sew during my sophomore year of high school. Ever since I began creating my own pieces of clothing, I realized I had this creative side that I had held dormant in the preceding years. My ultimate goal in life is to typically become a doctor though I know fashion will always be a huge part of my life along the way. The art of fashion allows me to have an outlet, whether it’s through writing these articles or sharing my pictures when school gets especially stressful.

I like to let my clothes represent myself as a person. I don’t like to wear makeup or spend time trying new things with my hair, so I like to have my sense of style express who I am or what I’m feeling. I would say my style is more edgy than girly, as you can see by my atypical heels of preference. I love to dress for comfort, so usually, I’d pick a pair of black leggings over jeans any day, unless it’s a lab day, of course. You can always catch me wearing black and white, however, this year I want to be bolder with my clothing style. By sporting a faux fur jacket or by adding some color to my wardrobe, I’m determined to make a new fashion statement for myself.

I just hope all of you readers are eager to see what exactly that statement is! Don’t forget to check back to see what my closet has in store for the next article!
