Hello Fashionista/o’s! My name is Sarah Howell and I am a first-time Fashionista and could not be more excited for this opportunity. I attend Wayne State University, and I am pursuing a double major in fashion merchandising and marketing.
Growing up I was a competitive dancer in which I was always surrounded by creativity and self expression and I think that’s how I came to love fashion as much as I do. I fell in love with fashion at a young age simply because it allows us to step out of our comfort zone and express who we are without saying a word.
My personal style is constantly changing. It could be influenced by where I am going or how I am feeling that day. I think it is always important to look glamorous and chic and that is something that I try to keep in mind when I get dressed on any given day. Accessories are, by far, the most fun and my favorite pieces to play with weather it’s a pair of shoes, a necklace, a belt or a hat accessories always pull a look together and can make the biggest difference.
Today, my whole look is basically by Topshop which is one of my favorite places to shop at. I am wearing these fun and funky green velvet shorts paired with a simple black turtleneck. Since the shorts are so vibrant, I tried to keep the rest of the look as simple as I could. In order to pull the whole look together, I threw on a chunky sparkly statement necklace and my silver Michael Kors watch along with black tights and black booties. These black booties are my go to because they are comfortable and chic and for the fact that they can easily be paired with just about anything. Lastly, just to add a little extra glam I threw on some NARS Cruella lipstick. This is, by far, my favorite red lipstick and it looks good on everyone.
