Welcome to the world of fashion. My name is Samantha Wuerfl and I am a student at West Virginia University. I am a Fashion Merchandising major with a minor in Business. This is my first semester interning as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista!
How does one go about picking out the perfect outfit? I usually pick out my outfit the night before because it takes me almost an hour to find the right combination. Then I can hardly sleep due to the fact that I just want to wear the outfit I put together. Does that ever happen to you? This is me every night!
Fashion to me is everything. I get all my inspiration from magazines such as Vogue, ELLE, Glamour and InStyle. I normally clip out outfits, quotes and tips I like and then I put together a scrapbook. It is pretty cool because I can see how fashion changes over time.
My favorite place to visit is New York City (especially around Christmas time). Why? I love to shop. I particularly love looking in the windows of each store to see the different displays. My favorite stores are American Eagle Outfitters, Victoria’s Secret, PINK, Forever 21 and PacSun. Christmas time in New York is very special to me because it’s when my family and I are all together. We love seeing the lit up christmas tree.
The go to outfit for me is a pair of dark wash jeans, a white flowing T-shirt, a pair of brown ankle booties and a dark green jacket. You can always find me carrying one of my many brown purses. I always have to have lotion, spray and a hair brush on me at all times. You never know who you are going to meet and need to stay smelling like a garden of flowers.
