My name is Samantha Faragalli and I am a sophomore at the University of Connecticut where I am double majoring in English and Journalism with a minor in Communications. When I found out about CollegeFashionista from one of my sisters in my sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, I could not contain my excitement because I realized that I might have the opportunity to be able to express my unique, stylish and fun style to other college students around the country. This is my second semester working with CollegeFashionista and it has been one of my greatest college experiences thus far.
I consider my style to be the perfect fit for any college campus. Growing up in New Jersey, the change of seasons has always given me the option of being able to put together the perfect outfits for those cold winter days all the way up to the breezy, yet warm spring nights. Fortunately, my move to Connecticut has given me that same option. On campus, I wear everything from a sundress with wedges to jeans with a sweater and high-knee boots. I also have a big collection of colored jeans, which makes a huge fashion statement during the spring and summertime.
I have a strong love for jewelry as well. I have a collection of Michael Kors watches along with a whole arrangement of different types of colored bracelets, earrings and necklaces that I can put on together or separately to make any of my outfits stand out. My biggest hobby is shopping for jewelry and making sure I have the perfect ensemble of jewels for every outfit.
Aside from my passion for fashion, I am a dedicated student with a strong desire to become a journalist in New York City after college. I want to continue to write about fashion to all of the interested readers of the most popular fashion magazines. When I am not writing or doing schoolwork, I enjoy hanging out with friends, exercising, tweeting and eating sushi. As a Style Guru for this upcoming spring, I am excited to fill the readers of CollegeFashionista with knowledge of all of the different types of styles and changes in looks. I am most excited to show them how they can be a fashion statement no matter what the weather. As my internship kicks off for a second time, I am also thrilled to learn about the different types of fashion on campus and see what all of my fellow Style Gurus come up with.
